Welcome to The Social Eights Coffee.
My name is Chris, and I’d like to share the inspiration behind this venture.
Back in 2006, I had the privilege of working for a company built on strong values. It was there that I first experienced the power of giving back to the community. Every employee committed 1% of their salary to a shared fund, which was then directed to causes and charities of our choice. In addition to financial contributions, we were encouraged to volunteer together—whether at the local food bank or on Habitat for Humanity projects.
The founder of that company became both a friend and a mentor to me. His guidance left a lasting mark on my life, and his passing while I was living in Vietnam was a profound loss. During my time abroad, I began to envision what would eventually become The Social Eights—even the concept for our logo came to me in a dream.
This store is built on a simple question: Can we create a business that thrives while also giving back to the community, just as my former company once did? The future is unwritten, but the mission remains clear—to blend values, community, and commerce into something meaningful.
